Reysol eliminated in Emperor's Cup
Nagoya — Nagoya Grampus exacted revenge against Kashiwa Reysol, knocking out the J. League champions from the Emperor's Cup with a 9-8 victory on penalties on Wednesday.Danilson hit the winning penalty after a 3-3 draw in 120 minutes of action that saw Kensuke Nagai strike twice off the bench, and Kashiwa's J. League season MVP Leandro Domingues also cap a double.Nagoya defender Takahiro Masukawa sent the game into extra time with a goal during the dying minutes. Masato Kudo netted the second for Reysol midway through the second half.Grampus sorely missed Australia striker Josh Kennedy, the J.
