Kashiwa beats Shimizu 2-1 to retake J-League lead
SHIZUOKA, Japan (AP)—Brazilian Leandro Domingues scored a late winner to give Kashiwa Reysol a 2-1 win at Shimizu S-Pulse on Sunday to move back into first place in the J-League.Australia defender Eddie Bosnar gave Shimizu a 1-0 lead with a free kick in the 42nd minute but Masato Kudo equalized with a header midway through the second half.Domingues sealed the win with an 84th minute header. With the win, Kashiwa improved to 68 points, three ahead of defending champion Nagoya Grampus with two games left.“We are playing every game knowing where we are in the standings and we know we have the advantage now,” said Kashiwa coach Nelsinho.
Nagoya won 2-1 at Yokohama Marinos on Saturday. Gamba Osaka, the only other team in contention for the title, is in third place on 64 points after a 2-2 draw on Saturday with Albirex Niigata.Takayuki Yoshida scored in the first half and Kunie Kitamoto and Yoshito Okubo scored after the break as Vissel Kobe beat Cerezo Osaka 3-0 in the only other match played Sunday.- http://sports.yahoo.com/
