Consadole Sapporo Vs FC Tokyo 12BET prediction JAPAN J-LEAGUE DIVISION 2: 12/03 11:30AM(GMT+8)

Consadole's club sought to be a professional club but the owner Toshiba did not regard Kawasaki as an ideal hometown. This was because Verdy Kawasaki, one of the most prominent clubs at that time, was also based in the city, which Toshiba apparently believed was not big enough to accommodate two clubs. (Verdy has since crossed the Tama River to be based in Chōfu City in the west of Tokyo and has been renamed as Tokyo Verdy 1969; the only remaining professional club is Kawasaki Frontale, originally part of Fujitsu.)
They decided to move to Sapporo where the local government and community had been keen to provide a base for a professional soccer team as they awaited Sapporo Dome to be completed in 2001. The ownership was transferred from Toshiba to Hokkaido Football Club plc. before the start of the 1996 season.Toshiba does not have financial interest in the club any more but Consadole still boasts their forerunner's red and black colours on their uniform.

FC Tokyo has reached the semifinals of the Emperor's Cup three times: in 1997 (as Tokyo Gas), 2008, and 2010.After 10 years of participation in the J. League without a mascot character, the team adopted Tokyo Dorompa, a tanuki-like figure, as its mascot in January, 2009.
On December 4th 2010 FC Tokyo had to win their final game of the season away to already relegated Kyoto Sanga FC. FC Tokyo lost 2-0 and went back down to the second tier for the first time in 11 years. Nevertheless, they bounced back at the first attempt, winning the J2 title in November 2011.

12BET J League News Update

Reysol stay on course to earn J. League title

KASHIWA, Chiba Pref. — J. League front-runners Kashiwa Reysol fought back from a goal down to keep their title destiny in their own hands going into the final week of the season with a 1-1 draw with Cerezo Osaka on Saturday.

Reysol went into the match at Hitachi Stadium with a three-point lead over second-place Nagoya Grampus, knowing that four points from their final two games would be enough to claim their first-ever championship just a year after winning the second division.

But the Chiba side also knew that Nagoya's superior goal difference would make any slip-ups potentially lethal, and with Grampus ahead 3-0 at halftime in their game against Montedio Yamagata, Cerezo's Taikai Uemoto took the title initiative away from Reysol with a goal in the 48th minute.

As Grampus momentarily climbed into first place in the table, however, Leandro Domingues dragged Kashiwa back into pole position with an equalizer in the 65th minute. Grampus went on to complete a 3-0 win over Montedio to remain one point off the pace going into the final weekend, while third-place Gamba Osaka are also still in title contention one point further back after a 1-0 win over Vegalta Sendai.
Kashiwa can clinch the title next Saturday with a win away to Urawa Reds — who all but confirmed their first-division survival with a 2-1 win over Avispa Fukuoka — regardless of the outcome of Nagoya's visit to Albirex Niigata and Gamba's trip to Shimizu S-Pulse.=http://www.japantimes.co.jp

Kashima Antlers vs Shimizu S-Pulse J-LEAGUE DIVISION 1 12BET Betting Tip 11/26 1PM GMT+8

Since the J. League's creation in 1993, Kashima Antlers have consistently been amongst the strongest teams in the country, holding several distinctions and records. Led by former Brazilian star and Japanese national team coach Zico, Kashima were the first team to win a J. League stage, claiming the 1st stage of the inaugural season in 1993, and in 2000 became the first J. League team to achieve the "treble", winning all three major titles: J. League, J. League Cup, and Emperor's Cup. This followed a near miss in 1997 when, after being the first team to win both cup competitions, they finished second in the league. In 2007 Antlers became only the second team to win a second league and cup double, and in doing so took their domestic trophy total to eleven; the highest in Japan during the professional era (but not overall - the record is still held by Tokyo Verdy), and the first team to reach double figures. The team plays at Kashima Soccer Stadium.
In 2011, S-Pulse made the "Signing of the Century" by making a move to complete the signing of Swedish and Arsenal F.C legend Freddie Ljungberg. It is considered by many Japanese to be one of the greatest signings in league history. Many also believe that the signing will boost football in the hugely popular baseball infected country.

Kashiwa Reysol VS Cerezo Osaka 12BET prediction JAPAN J-LEAGUE DIVISION 1: 11/26 1PM(GMT+8)

Kashiwa Reysol: Over the next two seasons, management changes, in particular the tenure of English coach Steve Perryman, unsettled the team and they lost ground. Things got worse still. Following a 16th place out of 18 finish in the 2005 standings, Kashiwa Reysol lost the promotion/relegation play-offs against the 3rd place J2 team Ventforet Kofu. For the first time, three J1 teams were sent down to J2.Following relegation the team lost all its former players. It began 2006 with both a new coach, Nobuhiro Ishizaki, and an almost entirely new squad. Kashiwa lead J2 for much of 2006, but a series of poor performances in the later stages saw them slip down the table. It was only in the final game of the season that the team secured automatic promotion to J1 as first placed runners up.

Cerezo Osaka: In 2001, it finished in the last spot and was relegated to the J2 league. It managed to finish in second for the 2002 season and returned to J1 in 2003.In 2005 they came close to becoming J-League champions, and topped the league into the last match day. In their final match, they led F.C. Tokyo with minutes to go and were on course to win the title. However, Tokyo equalised on 89 minutes, and a number of other late goals around Japan meant they finished 5th. Arch-rivals Gamba Osaka, who were originally formed from players from Yanmar Club, the former B-squad of Yanmar Diesel, ended up winning the title. Cerezo returned to J2 for the 2007 season after finishing second to last in 2006. In 2009 they were promoted and returned to the top division, where they have spent the majority of their career.

Kashiwa close in on title

Title-chasing Kashiwa Reysol moved three points clear at the top of the J.League after claiming their fifth successive win with a 2-1 victory at Shimizu S-Pulse.

The hosts went in front two minutes before the interval when Eddy Bosnar blasted home a free-kick, but Kashiwa equalised through Masato Kudo's header after 63 minutes.

And they snatched the points five minutes from time when Leandro Domingues reacted quickly to a rebound to head home the winner.

With just two rounds of the league remaining, Kashiwa hold the advantage over nearest challengers Nagoya Grampus Eight and will lift the title next weekend if they beat Cerezo Osaka and Nagoya fail to beat Montedio Yamagata.

``We know our position, the situation of the league,'' said Kashiwa coach Nelsinho.

``No matter what happens to Nagoya and (third-placed) Gamba, that won't affect us.

``We just move on one by one as we can reach the league title if we can do what we have to do.''

In Sunday's other game, Vissel Kobe were convincing 3-0 winners over Cerezo Osaka thanks to goals from Takayuki Yoshida (11), Kunie Kitamoto (53) and Yoshito Okubo (90). - http://soccernet.espn.go.com
