THE LATEST UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE NEWS – Manchester United scored a pulsating win against Portuguese outfit Braga. The English side, recovering from two early goals from striker Alan, scored through goals from Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez and Jonny Evans to end the game 3-2.

Alan played past through rival United through goals in the second and 20th minute – a feat that highlighted the English squad’s defensive problems in the absence of veterans Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra.

Chicharito – who appeared outshined by fellow strikers Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and Danny Welbeck this season, proved that he has the calibre for Champions League football as he scored a double in the 25th and 75th minute. Jonny Evans shot through an equalizer in the 62nd minute.
