Hiroshima have lost plenty of talent in the past year - Tadanari Lee, Tomoaki Makino and coach Petrovic, to name just three key parts of their puzzle. They will struggle in 2012. Conversely, after two years of late survival in J1, Urawa are looking good for a new start - ironically with Makino in the side, and coached by Petrovic! The return of Yuki Abe - with something to prove to Urawa fans and others, bodes well for the team in 2012.


If all the parts are fit and clicking into place expect Urawa to take out the home team in style and sprint out of the blocks for the new season. Abe is ecpected to be employed as the lynchpin in a three-man defence, and is the right man for the job. A fluid 3-5-2 could be the way for Urawa this season and, if it works, it will be a beautiful thing to watch.
