Vera Zvonareva is ranked at number 3 in the world. On the other hand Aussie, Samantha Stosur is ranked within the top 10 at 7 among the WTA rankings.
Both the players have met seven times before since their first meeting in 2004. Stosur leads the head-to-head at 5-2. The last time they met was in Charleston last year where Stosur won in straight sets. Zvonareva has one of the best forehands in the game with the capability to run down balls at any extreme corners of the court. Stosur on the other can thrust her aggressive groundstrokes with full confidence from the back of the court. Zvonareva should be able to come through in three tough sets.
