City currently sit at the bottom part of the Group D table, following losses from Real Madrid, Ajax and a draw from Borussia Dortmund. Their evidently poor form risks them an early exit from the competition – a fate they suffered in their European campaign last year.
Mancini is not expecting that his side is going to win with ease against visitors Ajax – the side that beat them 3-1 in their previous Champions League match. Injury problems have given the manager further problems, leading him to proclaim that his side “needs a miracle” to qualify.
